The Daiwa Legalis reels come
in a complete range of sizes, from 1000 to 6000. The Legalis LT 2020 series has
been developed according to the LT concept and offers highest quality
standards, as well as optimal running at an astonishing price-performance
ratio. It has been completely redesigned and embraces the LT Concept which
combines progressive Daiwa technologies with the Light & Tough
manufacturing process of maintaining the reel’s weight at low levels and adding
to its strength.
They are now fitted with the
Arc-Shaped Air Rotor which has been made by the Zaion V Carbon material, which
is a newer, tougher and more rigid material for a smoother rotation. The body
of the new Legalis is also made of Zaion V Carbon to further decrease the
weight and increase sturdiness.
The feature that stands out is
the latest generation of the high-tech, Automatic Tournament Drag (ATD) system,
that offers more grinding power at the start and offers a more stable and
progressive drag. At the same time the ATD Drag puts you in control from the
bite, to the net. The ATD drag works without delay and releases the selected
drag power without starting resistance. The drag power has been further
reinforced – the size 3000 offers a maximum drag power of 10kg.
Add to the package the Tough
Digigear Drive technology and it means that the Legalis LT 2020 represents an
unbelievable balance of weight and toughness, all at an irresistible price.
Compared to most of the competition, the gears are between 20% to 40% larger.
The gears also feature a larger tooth patter, giving the gears a much longer
gear life and durability than competitive reels. Tests reveal a gear life that
is one to three times the length of competitive reels.
